happy thanksgiving everyone! when you say your thanks around the table, be sure and say thanks that we are so lucky to be able to cruise! then make a little request to stay healthy and safe till cruise day (and after , of course). we will be counting our blessings in Chicago with the Italian Cornetts and our sons, Matt and PJ and his wife Heather (they fly into Ohare today). We will be missing son Nick and his wife Amanda and our 10 month old granddaughter Bailee. Anyway, four days of food, fun and shopping. Hope all of you are going to experience as much joy as we will. See you next week! Marianne

Hello Everyone! I am doing the passport happy dance. My renewal came in the mail yesterday and I finally could finish up my immigration info. That means our TA will send our final "stuff". Yahoo! AND she corrected all her mistakes on our Princess summary as per my instructions. And she did not complain either. Things are looking good. I called to have food and wine put in our room for a sail away party and found out the following: If I order now all we receive in the room is vouchers that we have to give to the steward and he will deliver same to our cabin. So in effect, all we are doing is paying in advance. We, therefore, can order what we want from the steward as soon as we get on board and he will have it in the cabin by the time we sail away. I will write down all of the numbers and items and prices and just hand it to him (or her) as soon as we get to our cabin after boarding. Then whatever we order will be added to our sail and sign account. ALSO, each passenger may carry one bottle of wine on board. Obviously, I don't want to carry the wine on the plane (against the rules) or in my luggage (too dangerous) so we will only consider this if there is a liquor store near our hotel. Otherwise, we will buy on board but it is interesting to know. Guess that's all my new info for now. We are supposed to have 60 degrees tomorrow and then plummet to 20 overnight and start a cold snap BOOO!. Guess I should get the lights out tomorrow. Anybody want to help LOL? Sweet dreams.
