PrincessOne
Good morning! We all have our precruise documents. I just reserved the bungalow for my parents...perfect for my dad....he got one at Half Moon Cay...he was in heaven...keeping cool watching the waves...just relaxing! Perfect. The weather is cold! Windy...very windy! But ... sunny for now. Areas south of us are expecting snow after midnight... We are only 6 weeks out! This is great. This vacation will be here before we know it. Does anyone else have excursions booked? I love the way the Princess site tells you how many are left....lol!
bigred
We have booked our excursions. Doing Kayaking down the White River in Ocho Rios (look at the picture in our excursion book - the water is clear. Some rapids involved but I don't think serious ones as no class #s given). Doing stingrays only in Grand Cayman (have done this before and LOVED it). Men are going deep sea fishing in Cozumel (I will have room service and spa day). Hope to get in shopping at all 3 ports. Have the most extra time at Cozumel. Will have lunch in port at Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. Renting a Hobie sail boat at Princess Cay but must do that on board. All meal times and excursion times are planned out so told Paul he must squeeze whatever else he wants to do in between the food (LOL). We have all our documents too. So things are really coming together. Time is flying by but that's due to all the Christmas preparations that must be made, I'm sure. Anyway, each new year makes the time seem to fast forward even more. Remember when time just dragged until Christmas Eve and opening presents? Have a great evening and sleep tight. Life is good! cruisefreak
HI, everyone! It has been forever since I've been on here! I have been caught up in Christmas programs and sick kids (not my own!)...January can't come soon enough as we are in the single digits- and dropping! Hope that pellet stove is kicking out the heat when I get home! How's the weather everywhere else? WE bumped our flight up earlier on the way to FL and on the way home- I can't wait to roll out of bed and head off to the airport on that final day!! Has anyone gotten an upgrade? Not us... Have a terrific weekend! Stephanie
bigred
Hello fellow cruisers! It was 3 degrees last night and tomorrow it should be 40 during the day! Crazy weather! No , we have not gotten an upgrade . . . at least not that I know cause I can't get into the personalizer cause the message comes on and says the SSL is disabled. Previously when this happened it was only part of a day. But this time it has been 3 days. Hopefully my husband will figure this one out. He installed new spy software and I think he screwed something up. (Wouldn't be the first time. LOL) Cruisefreak: May I ask how you moved your flight times up without paying more money? I have been thinking about calling to do this also since we did have a schedule change (but only 1/2 hour later). However, we get in too late for the hotel shuttle so an earlier arrival would help all the way around. They have given us better flights in the past when we have had a schedule change so we'll see what happens. Have Christmas with my neighbor ladies tomorrow with brunch in Green Bay and then spending the day Christmas shopping with good friend Marla on Sunday (she is on cruise with us). So should be a very festive weekend. Hope you all have a great one too.
PrincessOne
Good evening!! I have that sign on problem too Big Red... As for the airline tickets...the prices went down...so we did the same thing...even got a $50 voucher for each of us. I am really tired tonight...heading for heating up left over turkey soup...and to the couch.
cruisefreak
Hi, Bigred, We were able to change our times without paying more as the price went down on our tickets. We were still hit with the $50 each, but the cost difference offset us paying anything (I think we paid $1 total to change!). Hopefully it works out well for you too! Just keep calling them...This gets us in so we are in FL early and can spend the day there and that protects us if we get snow here in the northeast! Talk to everyone soon, Stephanie
PrincessOne
Wow Stephanie.....where ya been??? Do you think you have something better to do? GEEESH! The house seems so warm with the Christmas tree...I love the holidays. My oldest daughter and her friends are getting together and are adopting a family at a local school...ahhhh, and I thought I was done shopping! Have a good night... bigred
Hello Ladies: Well, called Delta yesterday and told them that the itinerary change was just too late and could they please do something. Lickety split, the girl said she had a 10:03 flight through Atlanta arriving FLL at 3:45PM. I asked terrified, how much more money? Nothing! What a difference between getting in at 12:30 AM on Sat. to 3:45 PM on Friday. Now we can even use the hotel shuttle from the airport (it quits at 11 PM). We are so pleased and the agent was VERY nice. Yes, I was worried about our lousy winter weather too. Now at least we have some leeway. All is well and happy at the Cornett household. We bought a new artificial prelit Christmas tree . . . a palm tree! We are preparing for moving to Florida. This will put us in the tropical mood. Stay warm everyone, it's 43 here today and FOG. Bizarre but I'll take it.
PrincessOne
Good morning, I couldn't get on here all day yesterday...weird...anyway... The palm tree sounds great! I want to move to Florida too...but it won't happen for the forseeable future...oh well... Great news on changing your flight, BigRed...sounds great. Some of those agents are nicer than others...if you don't like one, call back and try again, lol... My oldest daughter...and a few of her senior friends are adopting a family...so I am coordinating all of this...EEEK! Back to work... cruisefreak
That's great news on your flight! I know I danced for joy when we only had to pay .50 each for a whopping $1 total!! Our weather has been very odd too! We have been very mild- just our luck to end up with a major blizzard on our trip start! Last Friday was VERY cold! I was frozen to my bones! Well, must go for now! Talk to you guys later! Stephanie
