Two weeks from today! You did mean Fort Lauderdale didn't you or are you staying in Miami? What time do you all plan to board on Sat.? We usually arrive at the pier by noon but since we have to check out of our hotel by 11 AM guess we'll take the shuttle over a little earlier. We need to check with the Capri dining room for a permanent reservation, place our sail away party order with our steward, and make sure I get my first tropical drink as well as check out the cabin and EAT. Then track down the rest of our group. Hope we make it all before the drill. Where are you all eating? We like breakfast, lunch and dinner in the dining room. Can't get that service at my house for some reason. Have a great night! Bye all!

Nothing like a cruise to get you off your rear and get things done. I got a new camera. Yes, I have moved into the 21st century and gone digital. But I will miss my panoramic pix. So now I just have to get used to this one but have used Paul's digitals before so I am not completely ignorant (no comments please). LOL This has a 3" viewing screen which makes life a whole lot easier but NO view finder. Also have an appointment for new glasses. Well, I'm just plain overdue that's all. So rather than have them fall apart on the cruise I will have them replaced. (That's what happens after you drop them and sit on them a few times.) In fact these are actually replacements for the ones the optician broke in the office. All that needs packing now is Paul's suit. It will not go in till the day before we leave. Hallelujah! I have verified our hotel reservations and now will keep checking on our flight. Long range weather forecast looks good but those guys are never right. Checked the bridge cam and it is sunny on the way to Ocho Rios and seas look calm. Put in your orders everyone, for the same weather on our cruise. (Never hurts to ask the BIG GUY!) Have a great rest of the weekend. Bye!

OK, fellow cruisers, I am about to get crucified on the Cruise discussion board but it's too late now. I just blew a gasket about cruise complainers and now I must pay the price. I have been reading the boards on here and other sights for too long and finally just had enough. Not to say that there aren't real problems that can occur out there but COME ON! Oh, well, are any of you going to make me feel better? Tell me that my optimism is shared by more than a few souls out there! If you want to see my REPLY it's under New review: Star Princess. Mind you we have sailed her before so I took this one personally. Have a good night all and say a little prayer for me that I am not so burned after today that I cannot make our cruise. Bye, bye!

Hello gang we are counting down to embarkation... Looks like our long wait is almost over...

The CruiseCrazies Get Together is taking shape if you would like to have dinner and conversation.. or maybe dessert and conversation.. or just want to say hi....LET us Know ....

The event is scheduled for Friday evening January 19th at the Quarterdeck Restaurant.

Located at 1541 Cordova Road, 33316

From our Summit Group cherole, has assured me that they will be able to make it by 9 pm unless their flight is delayed ( the plane lands at 7:40 and after luggage and a short taxis ride to the hotel should be checked in by 8:15 or so they are a short 10 minute walk from the restaurant.. (Embassy Suites on 17th) we have exchanged contact numbers, she will call if they are running really late or will be a no show..

The Princess Star Group we are still waiting to hear from available crazies...

And any Locals in the area that aren't sailing we would love to get the chance to meet on this night as well....

If we all meet at 7:30 or 8 ish and have a leisurely time we should be still under way after nine...

I know Miss C (Cheryl/GottaCruz) and Jason and the family will have had a long day and want to be there. and still get home at a reasonable time.

So all we really need to do at this point is set a time notify the restaurant and enjoy.

Thoughts.... comments ....suggestions.....

Joey

Sounds like we have a great little group that has RSVP'd

Our count for attendance:

Miss C and Jason Party of 4

Joey and David and Party 4

Avie and Betty and Party 4

Cherole and Ole Party of 4 (arriving by 9pm)

Jeff and ?? Party of ?? (depending on a relatives babies birth)

Not informed yet of the people that may attend from another sailing on the Princess Star.

This post will be duplicated in full on other threads.

If your name is not listed and you would like to attend either Private message either myself or Gotta Cruz thanks

Social Host.. ( I knew i was going to regret this promotion..)

Hey Joey....

Thanks for the invite...I don't think we will make it, as we are traveling with friends of ours that we are picking up from the airport at 6 pm....also...hoping to retire somewhat early....as our flight is rather early and we are getting up at an insane hour. It would be great to meet everyone though.

I will take the information though...just in case...but my daughter is usually asleep by then too... :sad2:
