jacketwatch
 Here is an interesting article about the Swan Hellenic. It does seem this ship and its style are coming to and end. I hope you enjoy reading this. http://www.dailyherald.com/travel/story.asp?id=390031

Mebert
Swan Helenic sounds like a very interesting cruise but I guess Carnival shareholders will be very pleased.
jacketwatch
 I suppose they will make more money selling it and running it. I wonder how profitable this "last of the Mohican" ship was? Well thats progress. It moves with mainstream culture and old school is passed by. Joanandjoe
Swan Hellenic has been on our list for several years, but now we'll never be able to try it. We're now looking at Saga. Is anyone familiar with that line? The go and no go list in the article matches us perfectly. Every item on the go list other than "single traveler" is important to us; and we'll happily do without the things mentioned on the "no" list. Jimmykaboots
OMG ITS GONE?! NOOOOOOOOO, I LOVED THIS QUOTE~ That's my advice to travelers looking for a cruise that emphasizes interesting ports and learning experiences rather than Las Vegas-style glitz, a cruise that caters to mature, well-educated passengers rather than young sybarites who only want to work on their tans, party in the disco and shop in port. BLAST IT! I didn't believe there was such thing as a cruise without young fools who only want to work on their tans, party in the disco grind and do very disgusting things in public and swear openly! I wish I knew earliar!!!! O the agony and irony, AM I THE LAST OF THE WELL MANNERED TEENS?! Does anyone know of any other ship that runs like this?
