DaCruzNut
 Sorry, elfed, but I have to disagree with you. I've been on 65 cruises and sailed most of the mainstream lines. Carnival gives its past passengers as much, or more, than the competition. I'm in the Captain's Club (NCL), Crown & Anchor Society (RCCL), etc; etc; and all the lines give you just about the same extras.... Cheryl, I guess I was informed incorrectly. When I checked in, they told me that I qualified for the Platinum card because I had sailed with them 12 times before. I defer to your authority. agentjoey
vip starts on your tenth cruise. My wife used to own a travel agency and at least that's the way it was then. I have nothing to worry about for a while either way. (unfortunately)
Gregswife
Jennifer, my travel agent at Carnival (thanks again Maria for the recommendation) told me it goes into effect on your 10th cruise. I am pretty sure that priority embarkation is also a perk.
GottaCruz
Jeff, just tell them they owe you . By the time they started this Carnival Concierge Club, we were at about 24 cruises. I was quoting from the letter that I saved that had appeared in the cabin along with the tote bags and stationery. The letter says"10 or more times". Whether that means you get the perks on the 10th or after the 10th, I have no idea.
gogetter
Hello, I am going by what a PVP told me ...it is on your 10th cruise...not after completing 10...i.e. the 11th actually. Anyways i guess i will find out when our documents come. Carnival Legend........2-12-07
PrincessOne
I apologize...as I just repeated what Carnival tells me. I do think that Carnival could do more for the repeat clients. In April, the Diamond members with priority dembarkation, were in line and so were non Diamond members...Carnival was not checking...just letting people off and the Diamond members were getting upset...rightfully so. GottaCruz
How many cruises do you need with Carnival to be in Diamond status???
JoeyandDavid
I always assumed whenever a product mentions a "number" it is a whole completed number or as in the cruising industry "completed" cruises not "boarded" cruises
