I got my passport

Hello,

I got my passport.............oh yea...................

1 day short of 6 w :grin: eeks.

My wife and i had gone down filled out the paperwork, had our pictures taken.....paid our money...........kinda weird they took our birth certificates, but we got them back......

$67 paid to the Department of State via check. If you are married you can combine the $67 pp.....$134 total in one check. We paid the $30 cash each where we applied. They charged $10 pp for the pictures. I was lazy and didn't go anywhere else.lolol.....

Anyways...we are ready......carnival Legend ...2-12-07

Now you are ready any time a cruise comes along. It is so much easier with your passport. Glad you received it so fast.

Thanks for pointing out that you need to submit your birth certificate with your passport application. Make sure you leave sufficient time before your cruise to apply or you could end up with neither your passport or birth certificate.

Now don't you feel better?? It is a pain in the butt at first, but renewal is simple. Print out the form online, get photo and sent all along with your old passport and of course the check for the fee and you are all done.

They will return your old passport along with your new one so you can look back at all your travel stamps.

All cruisers should be in the process now if they are going to sail early next year. :wink:

Yeah!!! Congrats!!!!

I've had mine since 2000....and it only took me 11 days to get it after I submitted all the forms and information..........and it came from the New Orleans office (sadly, now closed.)

Does anyone know how long a renewal takes....and when you should optimally send yours in for renewal?

Very good point, Mary Lou. Thanks for mentioning this. When we got our passports a couple of years ago, that was a concern of ours so we applied during the longest stretch without any cruises booked.
