Gregswife
I just heard a blurb on the local news that a 42 yr. old man had disappeared from the Conquest and later a man reported seeing him go overboard. Has anyone else heard anything about this????
agentjoey
yes this did happen. I was on this sailing. We were in our cabin and about 11:00 PM we heard the captain or another officer come over the intercom and announce "operation Bravo Bravo Starboard" I thought that meant fire but a few minutes later the cruise director Mark Price came over and the intercom and announced that we had a man overboard and the ship would be doing some maneuvers to try to rescue. A few seconds later the ship started turning. It wasn't that bad as I have heard others describe. We were on the lido deck and never felt like we were going to fall out of bed. The search was joined by the coast guard and some fishing vessels but they all were unsucessful. Besides that the cruise was a great time. It is sad when things like this happen. Gregswife
Thanks Joey, for the info. All I heard was a little blurb, and of course, it caught my attention. Welcome home, tell us all about your cruise....
