jacketwatch
 Hello: We are consiering a cruise of Northern European capitals next summer, quite possibly in June and embarking from Copenhagen. Has anyone done this cruise B4? Specifically what are the seas like? Are they choppy or are they USUALLY calm? I know you can predict the weather. Thank you. mercedes
My DH and I plan to do the Baltic/Russia cruise in June 2008 leaving from Dover, England or Amsterdam, Holland, so any information obtained would be helpful to me too
TheSkipper
We did this cruise several years ago and the seas were fairly calm, but the weather was rainy for a lot of the Scandinavian ports. We are booked on Star Princess for the Baltic run, but will most likely cancel that in favor of an RCI cruise out of Rome. Princess has jacked us around on the booking which we made while on board the Crown Princess a few weeks ago, so I think we are going to tell them to stuff it. jacketwatch
Thats good to hear about the seas but bad about you being jerked around. What happened Skip? You made the booking then they reneged?
mercedes
During which month did you cruise?
TheSkipper
We did that cruise In early July. I know we were in London on the 4th and embarked shortly after that. Concerning our booked Batltic cruise sfter we got home we searched for the best price we could find on the net from a TA and when we transfered the booking to the TA I was part of a three way call with Princess who stated we would have to give up our $400 on board allowance and our half price insurance to use the TA's pricing. Not the way they explain it on the ship and not the way it has been handled in the past. So, we just booked on the Legend of the Seas for May 31st and will be canceling the Princess cruise tomorrow. Doing 12 days for about a grand less than the 10 day Princess cruise.
