Still in Venice!!!!

Just wanted to make you jealous!!!! ........ just kidding.

Oh my goodness we have totally fallen in love with Venice. Tony, myself, Gail and Paul have probably walked the ENTIRE city.

The absolute highlight is Locanda Orseolo - I cannot even put into words what it is like. The family that own it are soooooo friendly and helpful and make you feel like home. I spend quite a bit of time looking out of our bedroom window, listening to the gondoliers singing under our window.

If anyone is planning a trip which is going to include Venice - PLEEEEZ book the Locanda - you won't be sorry!!!!

Gail also says Hi to everyone - we are all flying home tomorrow.

I'm so glad you had such a great time. I'm sorry I was not on board to post in a more timely manner.

Venice is one of my favorite places too. I guess I love walking the streets without having to look out for cars.

I also love the colorful architechture and the many churches with loads and loads of wonderful works of art.

I really do envy you're having been there so recently.

When I stayed in Venice, I stayed in a hotel called the Albergo Ateneo which was right near the Venice Opera House called Theatro La Fenice. The phenomenal thing about the hotel was that it was in a very busy area with restaurants and opera patrons but one never heard anything while inside the very cozy little hotel. They also arranged a boat ride to Murano where the Venetian glass is made.

Yes, I think Venice is one of my favorite cities in Italy.
