JoeyandDavid
It was more of a toss out question....... there are some couple I am aware of that enjoy taking separate Vacations in addition to taking vacations together..... It was also a question posted to gage how many crazies felt on the subject. But Keith I do believe you are correct .. Communication is the key... avie
Joey, You do come up with some of the most provocative issues!!! At first blush, I thought that the question was a no-brainer. However, after thinking about it for a short period of time, I found that I was having a serious philosophical discussion with myself! What is the meaning of true love? Indeed, in a strange way, the question even evoked the remembrance of the Christmas story with the female cutting off her hair and the husband buying the beautiful piece of jewelery to enhance her hair. (I think you get the drift.) Yes, I feel that either Betty or I could accept graciously the wonderful gift that you brought to the surface in your question -- the trip of a lifetime -- alone! Having entered my vote, I realize that a full explanation is required, as a mere yes or no will not suffice. Perhaps this discussion could take place on an "at sea" day on the Summit -- over the appropriate refreshments, of course. Avie

Mebert
Hi JoeyandDavid, If I'm looking for solitude I'd go on a retreat. A cruise is the last place I'd go for solitude.
