JoeyandDavid
Following strong initial consumer response to Carnival Freedom's inaugural Mediterranean/Greek Isles cruise program set to begin this spring, Carnival Cruise Lines has announced that the 110,000-ton cruise ship will return to Europe for another season of 12-day voyages in 2008. Carnival Freedom's 2008 European cruise season will encompass 12-day "Grand Mediterranean" and 12-day Mediterranean & Greek Isles cruises operating May 10 to Oct. 25. Currently nearing the final stages of construction at Italy's Fincantieri shipyard, the 2,974-passenger vessel is slated to debut in Europe March 5, 2007. Carnival Freedom's 2008 Europe season will kick off with a 12-day Mediterranean & Greek Isles voyage departing May 10, 2008. Other departure dates include June 15, Aug. 14, Sept. 19 and Oct. 25, 2008. These cruises will feature eight spectacular ports: Naples, Italy; Rhodes, Greece; Izmir (Ephesus) and Istanbul, Turkey, featuring scenic cruising of the Dardanelles; Athens (Piraeus) and Katakolon, Greece; and Livorno, Italy, as well as an overnight call in Rome (Civitavecchia).
