New document proceedure with Princess

:cool: I learned today that if you book with Princess and have a computer you will no longer be mailed your documents. You have to print them on your computer between 75 to 6 days B4 sailing. If you don't have a PC the TA will have to print them and mail it. Puts new spin the doc dance thing now doesn't it? :grin:

I am sailing Princess in Feb. Sounds like they are doing what Royal Caribbean is doing. I found it really easy and fast on RC. I bet Princess will also be easy. I will let you know in March!

I'm sure it will be easy to do, but I have always liked having the docs sent out, and in a little booklet. It was more exciting!

I wonder if it will be a little hassle for TA's whose customers don't have PC's

I don't mind the high tech docs but I do prefer to receive the docs in the mail too.

With RC, you still get docs in the mail. It doesn't sound like Princess will be sending anything? We will see in a couple of months.

As for people who don't have a PC, they are always happy to print up your borading pass at the pier. It is not required that you have then, it just speeds up the process.

NCL is urging TA's to adopt eDocs, too. All the airlines already do it. Soon all cruiselines, too. It saves money for both the cruiseline and TA's.

Princess still sends out a pre-cruise package with "Know before you go" brochure and an Excursion brochure and baggage tags. When you complete the Cruise Personalizer section at the Princess website, you can then print out the Cruise Summary, including all the fine print in the former documents, the Air Summary, and vouchers for and pre-booked excursions and Lotus Spa appointments. It you purchased transfers, they are noted on the eDocs.
