rogue
Actually, Robert, I agree with you whole-heartedly. With the advent of digital cameras, there is no limitations on the amount of pictures I take. My wife, though, thinks that there must be more to it than that. bonmarche
I'll be interested to hear if anyone has done this excursion with the professional too. I almost took one of those tours when we were in Dominica. My husband and I both have taken photography classes so we already know the basics. I was afraid that it would be too elementary. The best advice has already been said, take lots of pictures, try different shutter stops and angles. Remember the rule of thirds and try not to take pictures of people with poles growing out of their heads. LOL

She talked a lot about the histogram and how to use it to take better pictures. I think that the excursion is about as good as the leader. hazelson
We actually did one of these in Juneau and it was great experience - we also got a dvd of some of the photgraphers work - I would do it again in a heartbeat! Just 12 of us on the tour and got so close to the whales we could see the barnacles on them.
ametrinel
I am a photographer, so waiting for someone else to take me around doesn't work for me.
DebbieandJerry
There was a professional videographer on our Grand Turks excursion. He filmed everyone snorkeling and then asked for names, addresses and $$ to send you the DVD. I said "no thank you"
