jaschem1
When you go thru the cruises and lines, what is one thing you want for sure on a ship before booking? We like the specialty restaurants and the aqua spas. Also, we only book when kids are in school. We learned the hard way not to cruise during school breaks. Nothing at all against children, we just like to be able to use the pool and jacuzzis.....
cruisetarp
We generally book when school is in session but this year will be cruising in August since the girls we are taking are students and can only go in the summertime. I must say I am not looking forward to all the kids I'm sure will be aboard but I refuse to let that ruin my cruise. We definately enjoy the specialty restaurants and love the complete peace and quiet of sitting on our balcony watching the world float by. I did get quite tired of the sales pitches in the spas and have stopped visiting them.
teacp
Just the quiet and relaxation of the whole experience. We do not cruise when school is out. We like the peace and quiet.......I guess one day if the whole family goes we will have no choice but for now that is the way we like...........A cup of coffee, a good book and Ken on the balcony.............. PrincessOne
first I decide on a destination I would like...then I look at the cruiselines and their itinerary offerings for that destination area. Of course I also look at price...lol D
agentjoey
I look first of all at the time of year because I am limited to being off to go. Then it's which line give me the best deal, which has always been Carnival for some reason. Then I pick from the itinerary. I like to go in April/May time of year. Not too many children but enough for my kids to hang with. We went this last October and the seas were rough, and it rained a bit. I have never experienced this earlier in the year. Gregswife
Maria, sounds like my ideal day, but make that cup of coffee a margarita. When the kids were younger and went with us, we had to go in the summertime, but for the past 7 years or so, we cruise mainly in Oct. or Nov. Love children, have children and a grandchild but really do prefer to go while school is in session. Although it does amaze me the number of children that are onboard even during the school year. When starting the process of booking, we decide where we want to go and then determinine what ships have that itinerary

We love to Sit on the Balcony in the late evenings and have a nice cordial Drink looking out over the Ocean and the sunsetting, how much more could you want!
