Jason
AgentJoey has submitted a review of his recent cruise aboard the Carnival Conquest. The Cruise Review Directory is currently in the process of being upgraded, so the review is below. Once the new Cruise Review Directory is completed, this review will be added to the directory. Joey, thanks for sharing your experience with us....I enjoyed reading it! ------------------------------------------------------------ Member Name: agentjoey Number of Cruises: 4 Ship: Carnival Conquest Sail Date: 10/07 Itinerary: Western Caribbean Entertainment: Very Good Service: Very Good Cabin: Good Food: Very Good Overall: Very Good Review: Being we drove to Galveston we got to enjoy seeing a few things that we wouldn't have if we had flown. The embarkation was very easy. Since this is a large ship that carries a lot of people the lines were very long. Since we are somewhat seasoned cruisers and my dear wife used to be a travel agent we knew to get to the pier early and most of the line was behind us. Unfortunately a woman had gotten married and passed out so medical help was required and that delayed us getting on the ship. We took our 7 year old daughter for her first cruise and she loved it. Her first impression was the size of the vessel. She was impressed to say the least. We got to our stateroom and our stewart had it clean and tidy waiting on us. We dropped off our bags and starting the grand tour. It is the largest ship we have ever sailed on and truly a work of art. The ship was a little big for my taste I must say. This was the first cruise we have ever had an inside cabin and probably the last time we will have an inside cabin. It was very small and not enough room to turn around if we all were in there together. It was however on the Lido deck and that was a great location. It was quiet and close to the pool area. All of the staff was very friendly and did a great job; especially Camp Carnival. Our daughter had the time of her life and that made it the best cruise ever for us. Only downfall to that is....we have blown our chance for a cruise for two from now on. The food on the Conquest was par for the course and I ate plenty of it. On our way back to Galveston we had a guy to "fall off" of the ship. The ship went into a search and rescue mission then into a search and recovery mission along with the U.S. Coastguard and other vessels in the area. They never found him. This delayed us several hours getting back into Galveston and that was no fun to experience but it happens. Overall this was a great cruise and as always Carnival did a great job. rogue
I'm glad you enjoyed the cruise. It must be diturbing to be on a ship with the situation you encountered. I hope that it didn't take too much from the cruise. Thanks for the review.
Mebert
agentjoey, Thanks for the nice review. I'm really glad that you and your family enjoyed the cruise. The Conquest is a huge ship, but I think I'm used to sailing Carnival's huge ships. I'm sorry about the passenger who fell overboard. That must have been a downer. How did you make out with your return flight?
