Lisa63
Hi all. As the members of this board were quite helpful in my selection of our upcoming European cruise, I thought I'd try again with a European land vacation. With a school vacation coming up, and FF miles to burn, we're thinking of spending a few days in a major European city in April. The question is, which one? The main issue is that our son had major foot surgery in December and walking long distances will likely still be difficult for him. He'll have a walker, most probably, just for some support. We were thinking of Helsinki, Copenhagen, or Stockholm, but are open to just about anything. (Other than London, which we've been to before, and Amsterdam, where we will spend three days this coming summer.) The purpose of the trip will be to enjoy a change of scenery (and something new, too), and enjoy beautiful art and history. I don't anticipate straying from within the city centers. Generally, we have no problems finding things to do. I've already tried Google and other search engines (overwhelming, and I am a professional researcher). I'm looking for some personal experiences to help us narrow down choices we can give the airlines. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Gregswife
Hi Lisa - Germany is one of the prettiest places we have ever been. We found it to be so clean. I first thought of Paris because of the Metro system, but there would be numerous stairs involved for your son, and Americans are not the favorite people of the French and I really felt that last time we were there. We haven't been to any of the 3 places you mentioned, so I can't help you there, but I am sure someone here can. Wherever you decide, hope you have a wonderful trip.
