sailingrose
With more than 30 cruises behind me I am pretty loyal to certain brands. I love RCI and Princess. I'm the top level of RCI's perks but if they don't have the itinerary I want I'll go elsewhere. I like to try anything once so I've sailed on many of the mainstream lines. Everyone has there own preferences but you won't know until you try something new.
Mebert
Most of my cruises have been with Carnival. I'm very comfortable with them and know the all of the procedures as far as dress code and dining choices. I have been disappointed and lost a lot of money based on telephone information given to me by a representative of another line during an emergency situation. I must admit that this is very subjective. I just feel that I've been treated better by Carnival.
TheSkipper
Like Keith and Rita, our loyalty is to cruising, not a specific cruise line. In terms of the most cruises we have taken on any one line I guess Princess is first followed by Celebrity, RCI, Carnival. Our all time favorite is Silver Seas, but can't afford them often. We decide where we want to go, then check and see who is sailing there. Always wanted to HAL, but simply have not connected as yet, because they have not been sailing where and when we want to go. agentjoey
As you can tell by my signature I have only sailed with Carnival. Only reason is because they give me a better deal for my money. Way better than anyone else so far. Another reason is we love to cruise and on our budget we like to drive to the pier to keep the costs down and Carnival is always close to home. There are a few others but their rates are higher for the times we want to sail. I would like to try another line some day especially Royal Caribbean. We took our 7 year old daughter on her first cruise this past Oct. and I was very impressed with Camp Carnival. Another reason for me to sail Carnival. But you never know what you don't try. Just my 2 cents
JoeyandDavid
Agerntjoey, I hear what you are saying.. but I also think that the bottom line price of anything never reflects it's true value.
btate
For myself, I want to try different lines because I want to make sure I am not missing something that I might really like. I know that every line has newer and older ships. I don't think this equates to more or less fun. Most of the fun I have is directly related to who I am with and what I am able to do with the surroundings at the given time. Cruise ships seem to facilitate those surroundings well for me. I think for myself, I want to make sure I cruise many different lines so I can decide what I like. As for the trinkets or perks you get. I think they are fun, but in the end, they are still trinkets. I would not base my fun on a picture frame or wallet.

Gregswife
Denna, like some others here, we are loyal Carnival guests. We started with them back when the kids were young teen-agers and it looked like they had lots of programs for them. The travel agent I was talking to at the time said Carnvial would be the best value for our money, so I booked it. That was 12 yrs. ago and the kids are grown and no longer cruise with us, but we have always loved Carnival so stuck with them. Our best friends are sailing with us on our next cruise. This will be their 2nd cruise. Their first was on Royal Caribbean and they said they wanted to go with a different line so that worked out great for us. I am sure you will have a great time no matter what line you choose.
elva
i have also only cruised on carnival. was thinking of going with another line but was not really "worth" paying about 300 more per person for 8 day cruise instead of 7 day. so far we have been very happy with carnival and unless the price is comparative i do not think i would change. Peddler
We cruise on a budget so our preference is; A. Price B. Availibility C. Itinerary D. Brand We also don't fly, so some of the ships are hard to get to.
