:cool2:I think you have to distinguish between brand loyality vs. brand exclusivity. we will be taking Princess for the 3rd time in the summer and obviously we like them. We also like Carnival. Our 1st cruise was with RCI and that ship was our least favorite. However the Voyager class ships look great an I would luv to ty them them one day. Would also like to try HAL and X too. You never know. :cool2:

Since We'll be going on a RC in September I'll probabaly just book the Alaska cruise while onboard to get all the perks (cabin upgrades, onboard credits and such). And then I'll just check out others on smaller cruises. I've been feeling a need to get back out there so I'm thinking about something in April or May!

Don't forget to consider that it is often the travel agency you pick that will offer on board ship credit and that may help to offset some of the differences in the different brands. All of us spend money when we get on the ship, so I consider that onboard credit to be a direct discount to my fare.

I've been on quite a few different lines, and more often with Celebrity. I'm tempted to stay with Celebrity since our best cruises have been with them, but I still want to try other lines... and will. I will be sailing on Carnival for the first time since 1986 come this Sept.

Our first cruise was with Princess and we enjoyed it very much. Perhaps that is why we have stayed with her for most of our cruises. For us, the most important thing is Ports of Call. We tend to decide an itinerary, then look to see what is offered. We have cruised with Carnival and enjoyed the ship quite a bit, but really did not like the intinerary (we didn't pick it out, some friends urged us to join them and that was a mistake. Instead of choosing our own, we piggy backed on theirs and it turned out less than wonderful.

We then look at the window - we almost always cruise during July/August. Until recently, I was employed as a theatrical scene shop foreperson and my windows of opportunity were very narrow. Became disabled (long story) and ended up unemployable, but the habit to cruise then had already been established.

We have already discussed trying a different line once we have exhausted what Princess has to offers, but for now we are happy with their offereings. I'm not sure if that qualifies as brand loyality, but we're happy.
