anyone cruise alone?

Nope! Me and Annie are Glued to each Other, we enjoy each others different perspectives and we are Friends as well, but a good Question Frostyboy! My Daughter has her own Cabin on our cruise in October, Shes the Fort Worth Police Detective! We are glad to have her with us we may have more hopefully! She paid the whole amount for the Balcony its on our deck 4 cabins away from ours!

Do the cruiselines or travel agents offer to find cabinmates for you if you want one???

The reason I ask is that years ago, at the Concord HOtel , if you were a single , they would match you up with another , if you wanted. The weekend Wayne and I met at the Concord, that was the case with both of us.No, they didn't put Wayne and I together. :rolleyes2: We both had been matched up with roommates. It was a very common thing there. Loads of singles were always going to that hotel. They even had singles tables in the dining room. That's where I met Wayne. He was seated right next to me.

I agree, too bad there's not a singles discount. Maybe it could be higher than regular price but not as high as DOUBLE!

I've cruised solo a few times and enjoyed my time away from the family. Got another solo cruise coming up in a few weeks, but I will have friends onboard too. :wink2:

I would love to cruise alone. I love my dw but a 4-5 day cruise doing whatever, whenever would be awesome. Nothing longer though, at least not the 1st time. :wink2:

i cruise alone-- or as alone as i can with my 10 yr old son along. we both love to cruise and now that we are thinking of moving to florida we hope to do a bit more of cruising. (but that is for another post)

I am surprised at the number of people who would like to cruise alone. Even when I traveled on business, I was part of a "due diligence team". so never was alone. For those of you who said you would love to cruise alone I have a question. Do you try to meet people on the ship and hang out with them or do you prefer to just be totally alone and relax at your own leisure?

OUT OF MY 10 CRUISES, I'VE CRUISED ALONE TWICE. I'VE NEVER FELT ALONE ON THE FUN SHIPS. THERE IS SUCH A FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE. THE CREW IS SUPER FRIENDLY AND APPROACH YOU WHEN THEY SEE YOU ALONE TO MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME. I DINE WITH MY TABLEMATES, AND IF I MEET PEOPLE, I HANG OUT WITH THEM. IF NOT THEN I DON'T MIND BEING BY MYSELF. I ALWAYS TAKE THE TOURS OFFERED BY THE SHIP WHEN I TRAVEL ALONE. I'M SINGLE. IF I WAS MARRIED I DON'T THINK THAT I WOULD GO ALONE.
