Wait, I've got it. A UFO was witnessed hovering over the ship just after the line-dancing competition during the midnight deck party! I'm sure that would put questions into any alien mind about "intelligent" life on earth :biggrin: .

This is one of the reasons why I don't watch soap operas.

They usually end with "I've got something very important to tell you. It's a matter of life and death and it involves me and your wife." Then its the end of the show. :biggrin:

Ok Ok I think I made more out of it then everyone thought. Your rumors sound better than what we think we saw. Because this was our first cruise we were very surprised to see the "Office of the Medical Examiner" on the port. Then when we saw a gurny (sp?) coming out of the ship with a body on it we were pretty shocked, especially since it was during the time when everyone was lining up for excursions. We also heard that they did call an emergency code at around midnight the night before. We were just curious if anyone heard about the death and what happened. Sorry if this is not as exciting as you had hoped. I can pretend that I saw Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul getting it on in the hot tub if that sounds better.

Actually this is more common than what you may think. It happened on our last cruise too. We did hear a "code alpha" called around 0200. As it turns out this means "code blue." An elderly woman had a cardiac arrest and did not survive. Her body was removed from the ship under far less conspicuous circumstances however. :sad2:

Jacketwatch is right, very common event. Most newer ships have refridgerator space for 4 to 6 bodies. No, not where they keep your food!!

Given the demographics of many cruisers, not unusual. We were on an internet group cruise a few years back when one of the group died in his stateroom while his wife was in the shower. Massive coronary. His body was removed from the ship at our next port New Orleans and transported back to Idaho.
