txSherry
Has anyone done the temporary tattoo art on board? I believe it's Henna and air brushed on, not sure though. I was thinking of this but wondered what your experiences were? And how much it cost, too. DH and I might enjoy getting tats that wear off in a few weeks. So has anyone taken a walk on the wild (albeit mostly tame) side?
Gregswife
I have seen them in port but never on the ship - maybe that is something they do in the spa, and I will admit, I have never been to the spa, but am going there next cruise. We are traveling with our best friends and I am going to surprise her with a spa day while at sea. I have never gotten a temp or permanent one, I am just not a "tattoo" person, although my oldest son is a tattoo artist He teases me by telling our friends that I have a horse tattoo on my butt but I really don't... GottaCruz
I know that on the Carnival Fascination there is a little stand at the pool deck where they do those temporary tattoos. Sorry I don't know about the costs.
txSherry
Tonia, I'm such an old fuddy duddy that I don't think I'll ever get "Real" tats! *smile* But that's why the thought of the Henna is appealing -- can have fun without it being permanent. Will definitely look at the conditions of the place, though I don't know if I've enough basic knowledge to do a good assessment. Cheryl/GC the 'pool side' affair sounds like what I'd read about! Well, I just bought a new swimsuit, so i might take the "plunge" so to speak! heh. My cousin has a beautiful dolphin swimming along her back, but she's always been more of a rebel than me. caio ya'll and thanks for the info! Gregswife
Tonia, everyone I know who has gotten a tattoo, ends up getting more and more. My son charges a basic rate of $100 per hr. and said that most that he does take 3-4 hrs. He is really an amazing artist and is very detail oriented. I have heard they are terribly painful to get though. Here is a link to my son and his work - don't ask me why he is holding a sunflower in the pic it was his wife's idea... http://www.tribalrites.com/b_tatt_greg.html
mercedes
Cheryl, your son is very talented. I wanted to get one when I was younger, but the thought of all that pain prevented me from doing so.
KeithnRita
It looks like you have a vert talented son. I've always told Rita I would like to get one on the top of my head that says"This end up"
terumim
Cheryl to bad your son is not in california..... his work is very nice..... his rates are about right.... Well regards to being a rebel i never got a tat till i was 40....and rest is history.... Its a way to express who i am .. and i am not saying it doesn't hurt the one on my back i had to take a few breathers threw it....but the one that hurt the most was my ankle .... the one i am planning now is my given name in japan...TERUMI... i had to research arists that do work in japanese .. because one wrong move it could mean something totally different...with some artwork i have designed to go with it.... i can't wait.... but one thing i relized when i turned 40 ( not sure why it took so long).. don't leave what you want till its to late to enjoy it....and never say i don't have time life is way to short...
