Hello everyone,

I am new to the board and wanting to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Cathy and I have been on 2 cruises so far. The first one was for my honeymoon to my wonderful husband on the Esctasy in 2005. It was awsome and more then we had ever dreamed. We knew we were hooked. In 2006, we (my husband and I) went on another one with my sister and her family on the Conquest and again we had a blast. We have already planned on our next trip in February on 2008 with our children. The months can't pass quick enough for me. We all are excited and looking forward to it. I am looking forward to meeting everyone here and hope that I can enjoy others experiences.

Cathy

Cathy, I am glad you found us. Hope to see you posting lots - if so, it won't be long until you have your ocean view cabin and then a balcony, and then a suite, etc. I have a question - you said you went on the Conquest in 2006 - during the lifeboat drill, did you have to don your life jacket and go stand outside at your muster station or was it held in one of the lounges? We are sailing on the Conquest next cruise and I was wondering about this. On our first cruise (all Carnival), we had to stand outside, the next one we got to sit in the lounge, the next 4 were outside at the muster station and we have "ducked out" of the last 4, but are traveling with friends this time and I promised her we wouldn't play hookie at this one...

Cathy, it's wonderful to have you join this Crazie family. I have felt so at home here and can honestly say that there is NO other cruise board on the Internet that has such wonderful people. Feel at home and post often!!

For shame Gregswife! Playing hookie with the lifeboat drills! You can never be too safe! Always do the life boat drill and on your spare time read the manuals attached to the lifeboats and lifeboat cranes, who knows, the boat might decide to break down, you can hop into a lifeboat lower yourself down and continue your cruise! Ok off my soapbox now...

Hi Cathy! Great you found this website! Welcome to this great and kind community of peoples who share a common love for cruising! Be sure to spare no details in your cruises when you talk about them! Feel free to ask questions too! I'm sure many wise cruisers here could answer you. Welcome aboard as we all say!
