I can't think of what would possess someone to go running toward and out of a cabin window. I've never been in a cabin where the window opened.

I wonder if they mean a french door or a balcony door. That would make more sense. I would hope the oceanview windows were a lot stronger than that.

Um...okay. Just an observation, but do you know how hard you have to hit just a regular window to make it shatter enough for someone to fall through it? yet, the witness didn't report any shattered glass and it was 'unclear' as to whether or not the window was open. As Mr. Spock would say, "I find their argument trimmed with gaping defects in logic." I'm guess some reporter just could wait to pitch another anti-cruise story to the networks...

Actually, this isn't an anti-cruise story since the passenger was rescued. This shows that even considering human stupidity, rescue procedures do work. It's all in the way you spin it.

He Jumped From His Balcony, not through the Window! :wink2: The Balconies have sliding doors like Apartments where you slide the door open and then your on a open Area, The Balcony And your right Windows dont open in the Cabins! It was The Balcony Mebert! :wink2: You Get the Open Door Award! LOL! Also they probably will put one of those things you have to blow on to open the Balcony door like when DWI drivers have to blow into the tube to start their car!

That is a long time to be in the sea. The Glory must have be inbound toward Pt. Canaveral, since it departs there every Saturday. Almost all of these stories seem to be related to heavy drinking, a lot of cruisers just don't seem to use good sense.

I promise to to fall overboard when we are aboard the Glory in about a week.

Just make sure you are probably inenbriated, Skipper! If memory serves me correctly, they pulled the Titanic's (I think that's the ship) head cook from the Atlantic many hours after the wreck. They said that he'd drank so much that his blood acted as an antifreeze. So, party hardy first!
