CBS actually contacted someone whose dad videotapes part of the rescue. It's just the mind boggles at the though of people sitting on the railing for what purpose? maybe there wern't enough empty deck chairs at the pool (grin). This just goes to prove that Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest doesn't mean survival of the most brilliant...sigh

They just aren't reteasing much more than that, Mebert, but a report that I read elsewhere indicated that alcohol was involved along with some very bad judgement. On the good side, the people were treated and released with minor injuries. They were also given the opportunity to leave the cruise at the first stop. No word if they chose to stay aboard or not.

That's breaking news. The last time I heard, both continued with the cruise.

As much as I love cruising, I probably would have continued my cruise too, in disguise.

Yes The Guy went on and the Girl didnt so Im thinking he was doing something stupid or she just was tramatized but both of them didnt use sound judgement, I worry about our younger generation and am concerned for them I just want to tell them all please be safe If your consuming alcohol around decks, Balconies and railings and have a designated friend to hangout that doesnt drink just like when your in a vehicle! Take care Young Friends we care for you and your Safety here in the Cruise Crazies Family because your part of our Family! Just Drink sensibly! And if your Friends dont then they arent your friends!

I can understand an experience like that being traumatic. I really don't know what I would do if I were in a similar situation.

You're right about young people being more responsible, but I would add that everybody needs to be responsible for themselves in every situation.

Did you read the thread where someone sat on a balcony railing. That sounded scary.
