txSherry
I read somewhere that the cards are $10 or 3 for $20. Has anyone actually played on Carnival before? I wondered how many games are played, approximately. I used to like bingo a lot when I was younger -- Lions club with my parents. It was about 2.5 hours of playing, and interspersed they'd sell 'special' cards for special games. If you didn't buy that card, you wouldn't play. I'd like to know, cause I can see my dd and I sitting and playing the 3 cards together! I think it would be great fun. But I hope that it's not just a couple of games, ykwim? TIA for any info you have!
Mebert
txSherry, Your information is correct about the price of the cards. There are many bingo games on Carnival ships and they can happen at anytime of day, morning, afternoon and evening. It's usually run by the entertainment staff so you'll see the Carnival dancers distributing cards and collecting money. You have to check your Carnival Capers for the schedule. Good luck. TheSkipper
Just got off the Carnival Glory yesterday. Merbert is correct on the pricing and timing. These are usually very short sessions lasting less that an hour, sometimes only a single game, not like you remberber. Big money maker for the cruise line, not for entertainment. Tons of folks play regularly every chance they get. You will not only have the info in your daily newsletter, but you will hear constant public address system announcements regarding bingo sessions. txSherry
So it might be $5 (or $20) to play ONE game?! Yikes!
TheSkipper
That's right Sherry. They use disposable paper cards which are not reusable like to old style ones you are probably used at your folks club.
sewut51
Last September, on the Ecstacy, we purchased 3 cards for $20 and I won $110! Not bad. I guess people win bigger in the casino, but it paid my tips for the cruise. Sewut
