Disembarkaion question

Hi guys: I have a question. Our June cruise enters its final port at 0500 (Copenhagen) and our flight is at 0800. Princess can't seem to tell me if I can simply get off then, take my own luggage, cath a cab and go to the airport. I would think it shouldn't be a problem. Any ideas? Thank you. Larry

Larry I cant answer you 100% but it seems as if you are cutting it close especially if the ship has problems clearing customs.. Good Luck

In the U.S., no one can exit the ship until it has been completely cleared by Customs. I don't know if the same rules will apply in Copenhagn, but like Joey, I think that is cutting it really close, especially as you normally need to check in 2 hrs. in advance for an international flight. I take it that you didn't book your flight thru Princess? Don't want to put a damper on your plans, but I think I would look into a flight that would give you more time and not pose such a risk of not getting to the airport on time.

I concur with the group. My only experience is with Celebrity which was very organized, I thought. They supposedly have you disembark based on things such as flight times with priority going to those with the earliest time reequirements. Since I've never been in a crunch, I don't know how well it all works because I wasn't in a hurry so didn't care. I'd say it's a wing and a prayer for you, though. One fowl up, and you might miss your flight. As for the 2nd part of your question, once you get off the ship, you are free to do whatever you need (cab or prearranged other transpo).

Actually I spoke with someone from Princess last night and Iagree its pretty close. I'll see about changing the flight but as it is thru FF miles I am not sure. I suppose we'll have to be lucky and clear customs asap. She also told me to check w/ the pursors about getting off asap. Thanks for all the replies.
