nanapinky
I'm leaving on my cruise in 10 days on the Carnival Sensation. I know you must use the Sign and Sail card on the ship, but are they able to cash travelers checks also and is there any extra charge? I'm not talking that much. Our party is going to continue on to Disney World after the curise and definitely will need some cash. Thanks
Mebert
nanapinky, Welcome to Cruise Crazies. I'm not sure about the cashing of travelers checks on the ship. If you don't get an answer here you might want to check directly with Carnival.
Gregswife
I'm not sure about the Traveler's Checks either. If you have an American Express card, they will cash a personal check for you though. I can't remember the amount limit, may be $200 or $300. There is also an ATM onboard but I am sure there is a surcharge on it. If they don't cash Traveler's Checks, your best bet may be a bank near Disney. Some banks, TCF and Washington Mutual, are open 7 days a week...
cruisetarp
I can't comment on Carnival but I do know that on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity they will cash your travelers checks at guest relations or in the casino and there is no fee involved. TheSkipper
Yep, they will cash your traveler's check on board. Going to Disney World take lots of $$. We spent a week in Orland prior to our Carnival Glory cruise and I think that cost me more than the cruise! Have a great trip.
Mebert
The Skipper, You really have a point. I spend way more on land vacations than I do on cruises. Thanks for clearing that traveler's check matter in regards to Carnival. I like to hear that Carnival makes things convenient for its passengers.
