Power Strip for cabin

I have heard folks say to bring a power strip or ext cord since there is only one plug in the room and we all have so many electric items... Do anyone know if the outlets in the cabins on the cruiseships are the 3 prong or just the 2 prong. I would hate to bring my 3 prong strip and not be able to use it. I will be on carnival sensation if that matters any. Thanks

Nanapinky, I always bring an extension cord, but not sure about the 3 prong outlet. I am thinking they have to have 3 prongers because I always take my laptop. I have a new laptop now but I think the old one that I took before also had a 3 prong plug. We didn't have wifi in the cabin, but I always use it to download the pics from the digital camera. My old digital only held 22 pics so we had to download them almost every day. I got a new digital and the card that Greg got for it holds over 500 pics so I may not tote the laptop along this time. Another thing I always bring along is a small alarm clock. They do have wake-up calls, but there are no clocks in the cabins and I always like to know what time it is, especially when I wake up during the night.

They have Three Prongs in the Cabins, and theres a New Power Strip thats called the Squid, it has 3 or 4 individual connections hanging down Id check it out Im going to get one their about $12 and up maybe less depending on where you buy them! Dont forget theres a outlet in the Bathroom that will take a cord for your Razors as well its a two prong I beleive! :wink2: You have to look for it though! :rolleyes2:

Thanks for the info. I think I will go look for the Squid. With 2 other adults traveling with camera docks, chargers etc, I also didnt think about the oversized plug. Things are falling into place for my cruise. i got my passport today. I had called last Friday to find out if they could speed it up since I was leaving in 2 wks and they put a rush on it. Last night checked the site and it said it was to be expected on Tues and it got here today. Ordered mine on 2-7-07. Whose knows how much longer it would of taken if I was not leaving soon. Since I didnt know i was going on a cruise until a few days before, I think I got it in just before the deluge of applications. Anyway.....now the "fun" part, trying to pack. Thanks again for the info.
