Great Pics....A walking tour would be too much for us...maybe a carriage or mini bus...

I would really like to do a carriage ride also, I've heard they only offer them on week-ends.

With 5 or 6 ships in port you would think they would offer.

I was in San Juan for a 5pm arrival on the Victory and hubby and I did a carriage ride, they are right in the market square area and it was a Tuesday evening, a 15 minute ride was $ 30.00 for the 2 of us.....

That's a little much isn't it? I didn't remember seeing them when we were there before on Monday night and someone else said they thought they were only there on the week-end for all the departing ships.

I hope they are there when we are in port, I'll have to try my negotiating skills on the price though. :rolleyes2:

I have a co-worker, who is from there, still visits often has family there. If anyone wants info on anything just let me know. I will ask him. He did say the Rum Factory is a hour away from the port. [/size]

It was a little much, and I fI remember correctly the amounts are posted on the pole and on the carriage as well.... I dont think there was any bartering.... Probably because there was a line up of people to get a ride....lol

I've done carriage rides in New Orleans and St. Augustine, where they did a narrative tour also, I know we paid more than $30.00 but it was also probably a 30-45 minute tour.
