ok...here's one of the things I want to do in Acapulco:

For a great gala evening in Acapulco nothing can beat a night at La Perla in El Mirador Hotel. They have a set price menu which includes the best view in town of the cliff divers. Although the price ($35) is high for Acapulco, the food is wonderful and from nowhere else can you see the view of the divers that you get from a front table at La Perla. We had the chateaubriand which was out of this world. I don't remember what was served with it, but it was delicious. You have to make a reservation for one of the front tables so that you get the spectacular view. A photographer there will take your picture, if you choose, with a special method that allows him to use a flash on you and yet see the cliffs in the background. We tried to do it, and our cameras couldn't manage it. The divers perform every hour from about 7:00 pm to 11:00 or so. The final dive is with torches. You can go early and stay at that table all night.<]
