Do you have a " Must Do List " for cruising ?

Do you have a list of cruises you would like to do in your life time.

I have only been to the Caribbean but I have a list of places I would love to cruise to. Of course since we are in our early 40's and own our own seasonal business and have one charming daughter, we are limited to when we can cruise...

My list is not long or in any order

1. Mexican Riviera

2. Panama Canal

3. Med cruise

4. European cruise

I currently have and Eastern Caribbean cruise and a Mexican Riviera booked as a group with some great members here and look forward to sailing with them........

we are slowly but surely accomplishing our list..

we have done the carribean and we recently did the Med , and the Panama Canal..

I think our list would consit of in no special order

Aaska, River cruising in Europe and South America..

We are also very much interested in doing a Transatlantic.. but have had to put all plans on hold for a while..

We want to sail around the Hawaiian Islands, and definitely do a Panama Canal cruise!!

Alaska is next for us then we would like to do the Panama Canal - after that who knows?

We have sailed to most of the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico, the Med last June, the Med/Greek Isles next June and Northern Europe (London, Copenhagen, Berlin, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Amsterdam) in 2009. After that maybe the Panama Canal and Asia.

We trade off on destination - I pick a cruise, Chris picks a cruise. it takes awhile to whittle through the list, but we've had some great cruises. My big dream is to cruise the Nile and see the pyramids and that cruise is slated for 2009. After that, we're thinking the Panama Canal, then we are sort of open as we will have crossed everything off out 'A 'list. Maybe back to Russia or even the Caribbean.

Our must list: Alaska, Canada/New England, Western Med., European River Cruise, Eastern Carib., Western Carib., British Isles, and Norwegian Fjords. We've done the first five, and the last two are ridiculously expensive, and done rarely (usually in the summer, when Joe can't take a vacation). We'll have to wait on those until we retire.

The Baltic definitely is NOT on our list: our ancestors went to a lot of trouble to get out of the countries (Germany and Russia) highlighted on that tour, and we have no desire to go there. Unfortunately, there are skads of Baltic cruises, but very few (perhaps two per year per cruise line) to the fjords and/or the British Isles.

Actually, our real dream trip is done every year by the Maasdam: US to Copenhagen by way of Greenland, Iceland, the Faroes, Norway, and the Northern British Isles. Since that's a summer cruise, and very expensive, it's likely we'll never take it.

It will probably be at least two years before we'll cruise again. We don't like the Caribbean or any other hot places, and we'll wait to do another Alaska cruise until we have the vacation time to do a cruise tour. Car and air vacations for us for awhile! We will continue to hang around with other Crazies, but not as cruisers.

We would like to do:

1. Mediterranean (we will wait until retirement for this)

2. Canada/New England (this may be in 2008)

We will be crossing off Hawaii this summer. (August)

We've done:

Baja, many times

Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo, once

Panama Canal, once

Alaska, twice

Caribbean, once

Of all those, the Caribbean is the only one we didn't care for very much. Didn't like the destinations, and won't be going back unless we happen to get another free cruise.
