hazelson
I guess the worst one so far has been Progresso - not too much to see but it did have a few crafty places to shop.
sailingrose
Guatemala, it was just plain frightening.
Chucksta63
Question of the day! Do you like to port or take the tenders? Any bad experences with the tenders?
Chucksta63
I don't like tenders for the fact that I have a bum knee. Last time when I went to get back on the ship, just as I put one foot on the stairs to get back on the ship, the tender rocked on a wave & my knee got bent more than it likes! I like ports so you can come & go as you like!
mercedes
I like to port. No bad experiences with the tenders, except a long wait on the water while we were in Hawaii (I can’t remember which island) waiting for other passengers from other ships to disembark. Ol39Capt
I've gotten off ship onto tenders in my younger years to go into port....I lost my footing twice and landed on my butt....fell out of the tender once and only saved my upper half by grabbing the ladder...that was a mistake too...got all scraped up..... SmooCruise
prefer docking in port. Mainly for the convenience of getting on and off the ship. There is something kinda cool though about being in the tender coming up on the ship and realizing how HUGE the ship is! Never had a really bad experience tendering....but did have some rough seas when tendering to Catalina. Didn't bother me....but hubby was a little green. sailingrose
No tender stories for me but I prefer to port for speed and ease. My DS gets green just thinking about getting on a tender.
rogue
I prefer to dock, but if tendering is the only way to get there, I'll take it.
KeithnRita
For time sake we prefer docking. We've never had any bad experiences tendering.
