O.K. - again I'm new to this whole cruise thing!! Is Carnival the least expensive cruise line?? I know for our Alaska cruise we canceled our $ 9,000.00 Princess suite & booked a $ 3,000.00 suite with Carnival.

I like them for that alone!!

OUCH!! 9K?!?!?! 3 on Carnival or 1 on Princess you do the math.

I KNOW!! I told you I was new!! We knew we wanted to cruise Alaska - so a year ago I google Alaska - I get the Princess site & call them. Next thing I know I have a 9 K suite. We thought - WOW - crusing is way expensive - then I found the boards & learned that we were getting screwed!! So we canceled it & booked with Carnival.

We've never looked back . . . .

Good for you! You will be happy with Carnival I'm sure. 9K is too much to spend! I can't wait to hear all about your Alaskan cruise. I want to do Alaska some day.....

We don't leave for Alaska until Sept. 2008.

I'm giving Carnival $ 100.00 a month - then will pay it all off - plus the Loco cruise with our tax return in February.

I also want to add some to our sail & sign so the shore excursions are paid for before we leave. Then I won't have to worry about any additional expenses - Just stuff we buy in ports.

I have to have everything paid off before I go on a trip - plus have cash in hand.

I'd love to try an Alaska run...but even 3k would put it in the future...

I like to do that too Linda. Have everything paid before the trip. Last time we did all our excursions through Carnival so I prepaid those. But I think for Loco we're gonna try more independant excursions. Like Rosie. And La Perla for the cliff divers. Carnival's excursions are a lot more expensive.
