CanadianCruiser
Grand Turk Top New Port Since its inauguration in February 2006, the Grand Turk Cruise Center has exceeded expectations with 136 cruise ship calls and 295,000 passengers in its first year of operation The Grand Turk Cruise Center, which can accommodate up to 5,000-passengers per day, consists of a 13-acre complex including an expansive recreation area, shops and the Caribbean’s largest “Margaritavilleâ€Â-themed bar and restaurant. With close to 20 shore excursions, the Grand Turk Cruise Center has something to offer both first time and experienced cruisers visiting the destination. The land-based tours include beach horseback riding, bicycling, beach breaks, 4x4 vehicle adventures and marine-based tours including everything from snorkeling to helmet diving. More excursions are slated to be introduced during the coming year These oddly named and misshapen islands may not be the prettiest in the Caribbean, covered as they are with cactus and thorny acacia trees. They are, however, fringed with exquisite beaches and several hundred miles of coral reef that keeps the Turks and Caicos on the world's top 10 dive list. If you love the Caribbean lifestyle but are not a huge fan of the rain, then these are the islands for you. Humidity is paltry for this latitude; October and November are the wettest months of the year, which, by Carribean standards, are not really that wet at all. The heat, however, is relentless, with average daily highs that range from 27°C (80°F) in January to 32°C (90°F) in July and lows consistenly about 5-6°C (around 10°F) behind. CanadianCruiser
Not much to do really, there is a quaint beach at the end of the pier and Margarittaville... Up the beach is a good snorkle area, called Conch beach I think...

TheSkipper
We did this port last October and had a very fun day. Go to Margaretiville and just jump in the water and enjoy their fantastic pool and swim up bar. Or, wander out to the adjancent beach an swim in the warm water, very near your ship. I think you will enjoy this port of call.
