readheadleah
Our neighbors invited us on the Queen Mary to England last month and we loved it! The wife and I are thinking this is our new mode of travel for vacation. Previously we would travel through Interval international. Though we have two weeks deeded to us, we are thinking that there might be a way to trade those weeks with a cruise line. Has anyone tried this sort of thing? Gregswife
Hello and welcome. I have no personal experience with timeshare travel, but my in-laws have had a timeshare with Fairfield Resorts for a long time and I know that somehow they have been able to use their points on cruises before. Have you checked with Interval International to see if they do offer this opportunity?

rogue
We also have a couple of time shares. We're with RCI as ourtrading company. We've looked into trading for a cruise, but it sometimes appears that the prices are not much better than going through our travel agent. Actually, our 1st cruise, we booked through RCI. That wasn't a trade, just a straight up booking. Their price was competitive, so we booked. Since then, we booked through a TA we know. If you find out that there is a great savings, let us know. Maybe we'll try it ourselves on our next cruise. Welcome to CruiseCrazies. Don't be a stranger. It's always nice to see new members posting. barkerandy
I dabbled in timeshares for a few years before I returned to the seas. I though about trading, but I wouldn't get that much trading a timeshare. I tried to sell it. I tried to GIVE it away, that didn't work. So I thought the next step is to hire someone to handle it. The company I used was Timeshare Relief. They costed less than the price being stuck with it.
