Mercedes - I see you are off to Paris in just a few weeks - wow. What are your plans? Where are you staying. Can I come with you :biggrin: I can live on bread, cheese and wine tee-hee.

Sounds like a truly wonderful trip.

Mercedes, hope you have an awesome trip. There are a chain of restaurants across Paris by the name of Indiana Tex-Mex. They are in no way what we think of as far as mexican restaurants - not much mexican food on the menu, but they do have the best nacho's I have ever had. Hubby loved their cheeseburgers too. If you have never been to Versailles, it is definitely worth a trip to. Just a word of warning, unless things have changed at the palace in the past few years, they will charge you to use the restroom, so make sure you go beforehand....

I'm not sure what days you are going to be in Paris but we will there (6/26 to 7/6) after our QM2 cruise to Norway. We leave for Europe in a week and would like to hook with you guys. Please let us know! :smile:

Jennifer, Cheryl and Rat:

My DH and I are off to Paris to celebrate 25 truly wonderful years together. This will be our third trip there and I must say that this is one of the places one could not get tired of visiting.

Jennifer, we will be staying at the Ritz (we have stayed here previously and it is simply amazing). Since we have been here before we donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t have plans to visit the popular tourist places, just take time to relax and walk around and enjoy Paris. We have made reservations for a Seine River dinner cruise, and Cheryl this time we will make it to Versailles. We have a very loose (and very changeable) itinerary to visit the Latin Quarter, the Jardin des Tuilries and Luxembourg gardens, Montmartre, and Ille Saint-Loius, just doing things we have not done before.

Cheryl, we did see those restaurants, but we figured, Mexican, nah. We will stop in this time. I remember being charged to use the restroom in a park in Paris, my DH could not believe it and refused to pay, he went to a McDonalds .. lol

Rat, we were supposed to be in Paris on July 1, the day of our anniversary, until July 8, but had to change it to July 8-15, since my DHÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s boss is sending him to a 3 day conference in NY, even though my DH told him he was not available that week. Fortunately, that was no problem changing the hotel or the air.

Rat enjoy your cruise and your stay in Paris, sorry we would not be able to meet each other, maybe next time.
