Hubby and I will be taking the Spirit in October and doing the Mex. Riviera for our 25th. We sailed the Pride in January and just love that class of ship. When I return from our Cruise in October, I will be sure to write a review and share pictures, if you like.

I just got off the Spirit in Jan of 07. It was my first cruise and I loved it. I was on the Empress deck, midship on the starboard side. The ship was beautiful and there was a ton to do. On the 8 night cruise there were 2 comedians a magician and a hypnotist and a few other acts that I’m sure I’m forgetting. The first comedian was someone who apparently guest starred on the Drew Carey show although I've never seen him. He had a pretty painful act and a lot of recycled jokes but the lady the next 2 nights was awesome.

I can't speak for the supper club on board that ship as we didn't eat there but they did serve a lot of varied things in the regular dining room including at least 1 night with SNAILS!!

The balcony wasn't HUGE but more than enough room for 2 chairs and a table for drinks. The room itself had a TON of closet space but the bathroom had an airplane feel. But what do you expect in anything less than a suite right?

The casino was a decent size and there was always a spot open at a card table or slot machine. The open decks got pretty windy by the front of the ship during the days at sea which was fun while we were there.

As for ports Acapulco was my favorite port by far. Do your shore excursions there as it has more going on than the other ports. You will have port days in a row which can drain you so you’ll be thankful for the 2 days at sea afterward on the way home.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions.
