Ed once again thanks for sharing.. when we wre ther last year we got a wonderful lace table cloth in one of those small shops in the walk ways.. amazing town..

So did we! Right near the underpass out to the seaport. Some really beautiful work on sale there. Almost the only thing we bought in Europe except for some Birkenstocks I picked up in Venice. The Euro is so strong againist the dollar the prices were out of sight.

Yes indeed we choose carefully before purchasing .... most of our buys were olives... olive oil and spoon rests.... and a little wine.. we thought the conversion rate was brutal but then again we had a delightful meals for next to nothing....

We were n the same cruise as Joey and bought the most beautiful hand painted bottle (think stained glass) for oil or vinegar - for only $5 equivalent, in Dubrovnik. We were on the Millennium and they were selling craft items on the dock where our ship was docked.
