I was curious about what entertainment features were available on Carnival Ships in the staterooms ..

Do they have VCR or DVD ( we tend to like to sleep to favorite movies....) is there a audio system either canned piped in channels or some sort of music source?

You know Joey, all I can remember is the tv. There was no VCR or DVD in the room, and maybe the tv had a music channel, but I don't remember it. They play the same movies over and over in the room.

On the Glory, I used my MP3 player with a set of Philips portable speakers for music and audio books and my portable dvd player for movies through the TV.

There was some music on the TV, but I perfer my own selections to theirs.

Found the staterooms to be one of the most comfortable we have been in and as you know we have been in a lot of them. This was our first Carnival cruise in over 5 years and we were impressed. Going on the Spirit in January and taking 60 friends with us as you know.

Joey - I know you can get the "pay"movies but nothing you can play on your own.

But one of those portable DVD thingies (technical I ain't lol) sounds like a good plan. Dh takes one to work (hard job lol) and watches three or four movies each shift. They are also great on a long flight or for that loooooong airport wait :o)
