Room service question

Feel silly for asking this b/c this will be my 5th cruise (have never used rs), but when you use room service on the ship do you tip them then?

Oh yes we always tip the person that brings our food. They depend on it

Wayne and I have never used it either but DD has. Like Maria , we tell her to always give the tip to the person who brings the food.

And don't feel silly about asking any question here, shebert. That's why we're here .

Definately tip the person who delivers room service. You may not see them again during the cruise like you do your waiter or cabin attendant.

We love room service - but usually just for breakfast. I always tip because that poor person usually sees me in the morning - BM (before make-up) lol.

I have never used RS on a ship B4 so it seems there is no auto 15% gratuity added to the bill. Is that so?

Your right jacketwatch, no 15% since there is no bill.....I always tip room service, more for a full meal and for standing orders like morning coffee.

Thanks everyone...I'm glad I asked b/c my husband and I had this conversation and he said "no tipping, it's included".

So what's the standard tip amount?

Tipping is personal but if it's just coffee I'd say $2 and go on up from there. We tipped $10 one Christmas since we had rolls, coffee and juice for 6 one Christmas morning in our cabin. (2 light trays) I don't have a set number in my mind most times.

We don't use room service too often.
