The Extra Costs Of A Cruise

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Most cruises are NOT all inclusive. If they were, the price of the cruise would be much higher. Here are my 10 things one should know costs extra. They are in no particular order. Most are costs that get added to your on board account to be settled at the end of the cruise but a couple do require cash.

Soda

Laundry mat

Duty free shops

Alcohol

Specialty shop

Upscale Restaurant

Spa

Gambling

Excursions

Tipping

Many cruise lines now do an auto tipping system of some sort for your dining room servers adn cabin stewards, in which the tip amount (varies by line but averages 10/day/person) is added to the bill at the end of the cruise along with all the other things listed above.

If you know of more please post them

Great post Lisa - all inclusive cruising is NOT!

But apart from the actual tipping and tipping and tipping all the rest is optional so you can go as cheap (like us) or as expensive as you want. We usually buy a couple of the photos though - they make great souvenirs.
