I always buy the embarkation photo and then the photo getting off in each port. They make great souvenirs...

Our 1st cruise we spent way to much on pics. We bought the ones we liked every day. our last 2 cruises, and from now on, we put the pics aside every day and go through them the last day and buy the ones we like.

Sodas are free on Disney Cruise Line ships.

So, I have a question!! (Like always. :P)

The OP said that the welcome aboard drink is free. But i thought I had read it isn't. I don't want to reach out, accept one, and get smacked for $$ I hadn't expected!

Free or Not free? Or dependent on the cruise line? (I'm selfishly interested in the answer for Carnival! LOL)

We were never offered a welcome aboard drink except if we went to Lido and got Jucie or lemonade or coffee. (this is on Carnival)

Not sure which one Lisa (OP) is refering to I do know Carnival has a Capts party the first sea day drinks or free at the capts party. Some say you can get them free at the bars around but I have never tried it.

When your on Carnival also you will have what is called a sign and sail card. If someone asks you for the card, and you think the service is Free just ask what the charge is. Everytime a charge is put on your card they give you a ticket to sign. The only thing they put on there without you signing is the tips.

When you think about it - Free isn't really free because you paid for the cruise in the first place LOL

Ok please forgive me for mentioning onboard drinks,

On Carnival they offer the drinks but do charge you!!!

On certain other lines they do not, but also do not contain alcohol.... ( bummer ...lol )

I should have said about the non alcoholic drinks that are available, such as iced tea,, lemon aid etc. ..... and always on Disney soda....
