TheSkipper
Hi Gang, Over the past three years I've put together an annual cruise to benefit the Stephen Ministry program at our church. No, I am not a Travel Agent or do I work for one. Just a guy who loves to cruise. On our first cruise to Mexico we had 39 pepole on board and rented a bus to take is to LA to board the ship. We had a ball and loved the Diamond Princess. Last year we had 16 folks go on an Alaskan cruise aboard the Celebrity Century. Small group but they had a fantastic time. Theses two cruised netted our group well over $5000. Not too bad for a couple of fun events. For January 2008, I put together an eight day cruise aboard the Carnival Spirit and again have rented a bus for transportation to San Diego. To date we have 65 people signed up for the cruise. Folks are coming from all over, Wisconsin, Michigan, New Jersey, Washington D.C., San Francisco and even Egypt!! Friday, August 3rd we are having a get-together of the "Mountain View Crew." Our Travel Agent is flying in from Louisiana and I expect we will have a blast. So, the moral of this story is that cruising can be a very good fund raising activity if handled properly. Get your group together and get on out there.
