Royal Caribbean International continues to closely monitor the path and progress of Hurricane Dean to ensure our guests enjoy safe and comfortable cruises, and to make certain our ships steer clear of the storm.

Our foremost concern is the safety of our guests and crew members.

Given Hurricane Dean's location and projected path, Royal Caribbean is currently altering the itineraries of two ships and providing guidance regarding a third ship.

Ships sailing from Port Everglades

Enchantment of the Seas will depart Port Everglades Saturday, August 18, as scheduled. The ship will sail a modified itinerary with port calls in Labadee, Haiti, Monday; and Nassau, Bahamas, Wednesday; before returning to Port Everglades as scheduled, Thursday.

Ships sailing from the Port of Galveston

Rhapsody of the Seas will depart the Port of Galveston Sunday, August 19, as scheduled. The ship will sail a modified itinerary with port calls in Key West, Florida, Tuesday; Georgetown, Cayman Islands, Thursday; and Cozumel, Mexico, Friday; before returning to the Port of Galveston as scheduled, Sunday. The ship's itinerary is subject to change based on possible storm-related damage to the Cayman Islands and Mexico. Should the aftermath of Hurricane Dean prevent the ship from visiting these locations, alternative ports of call would be sought. As weather conditions involving the storm are constantly changing, guests booked on this sailing are asked to continue monitoring these updates to receive the latest information. Guests also may contact Royal Caribbean at 1-800-327-6700 to receive these updates.

Ships sailing from the Port of Miami

Freedom of the Seas will depart the Port of Miami Sunday, August 19, as scheduled. The ship is currently expected to sail its scheduled itinerary. The ship's itinerary is subject to change based on possible storm-related damage to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico.

At this time, no other Royal Caribbean ships are being adversely impacted by tropical weather. We will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and update this information at 1 p.m. EST Saturday.

Thanks for the info, CanadianCruiser. My sister in law, brother in law and my 2 nephews left Saturday on the Enchantment . The ports changed but any cruise is great, in my opinion, anyway. Can't wait to hear what they'll have to say when they get back on Thursday.
