:cool2: So what do CC's think of when they want to book that next cruise? For me, in order the factors or consideratons are:

1. What my wife wants.:biggrin:

2. The cruise line. We want a cruise line we can trust and be certain we will like or at least think we will like.

3. The itinerary. Even for land vacatons we have always wanted to go someplace different the next time.

4. The food. This is important for us. We want good food and my wife, being Indian wants her Indian food requests met which has never been an issue.

5. How far do we have to fly to reach the embarkation point. The last two yrs. we have flown a long way, first to Tahiti, then to Copenhagen. Next yr. we hope for go short, i.e. to San Juan.

6. The ship. Hey, I have the Voyager class itch.

So what does it for you?

Very interesting question and from my point of view a little difficult to answer. Personally I would like to try a Trans Atlantic trip or even a passenger freighter for a change. My better half thinks differently!!! For her it has to be the Caribbean or maybe Hawaii. So naturally of course my wife wins out!! I don't mind really. It's just the crowded islands that get to me especially if 4 or more mega liners are in port. So to sum up, the main factor is my wife and where and when she wants to go!

Regards,

James.

The itinerary is always my first consideration (my DH goes with the flow); I like to go to different places each cruise. We always sail with Carnival, so that is a non-issue. How far to the embarkation point is not very important. We had to fly to Rome last year, next year to Rome again and in ’09 to England.

Great question Jacketwatch!

Our first is timing, when can we go and for how long. We've been taking New Year cruises because we are able to take longer cruises. With so far to travel we would never book a cruise under 7 days. New Year cruises we've taken have been 10 and 11 days. We've only cruise once before Sept and that was an Alaska cruise.

Our next priority is the cruise line. The itinerary is really not that important to us on a Caribbean cruise. Price is the final factor and usually cruises in Sept/Oct are really low and New Year cruises are inflated. Food from any cruise line we've been on is still better than what we get here!

Our main consideration is the itinerary.

We choose that first, then we start tweaking. Right now we just got off an NCL ship and very much enjoyed the Freestyle dining, so I think we may look for another one soon.
