elfed
No, no picture but I wonder how many Crazies had the Captain come and sit at THEIR table!!! It happened to me on board the Carnival Legend out of New York 3 years ago. I was having an early morning coffee on the Lido deck at about 6-30 a.m. when Captain Capusti appeared on his own doing an early morning inspection of the ship. I greeted him with a hearty "Good Morning" and he answered "Bon Journo" As i was the only passenger around at that time of morning, we started to talk about the ship and before I knew it, he sat down at my table and we talked about Italy, soccer, ships and the sea. Our conversation lasted about 8 to 10 minutes with no one else around. I was so taken aback with his friendliness.A lovely man who will always be a wonderful memory on Carnival Cruise lines. I wonder if any of our members have had that experience. Regards, James.

SCIROCCO
Me and Annie had a personal Tour of the Bridge of the Rhapsody by the Second Officer and the Captain came in and talked to us and me and Annie presented him a Display case with mine, hers and my Daughters Police patches with our Pd and Sheriffs collar Emblems, he was really proud to have it and stated that no one had ever given him anything like that in all of his Assignments and years of Service! Now Ive got to find the Pictures of us and the Display case! How do you put a picture into your message box!

Joanandjoe
On Holland America, it's tough to avoid having your picture taken with the captain: on formal night, you go through a recetion line that includes the captain before you go into the dining room. We've had our picture taken with the captain on several non-HAL ships as well. I'm not sure we ever bought the picture.
hazelson
Can't wait to see the case Robert - great story.
KeithnRita
Like J&J we've had photos taken with the Captain on all our six HAL cruises. You really have no choice if you are in line to attend the Captains Ball. You have to shake his hand and get your photo taken to enter. You do get free drinks and you are able to dance on the stage to some pre-dinner music. I think we only purchased one photo, however we never scanned it. I did ask the Captain on our last HAL cruise on the Zaandam if he bought all his photos!
hazelson
We had ours taken at the past cruisers get together - lots less people - so its a bit more initmate.
