elfed
Hello Everyone, I know this is a way off yet, but I've heard that Princess Cruises Ground Transportation between any of the main New York Airports and the Port of Brooklyn is 80 dollars per person!! Is this correct? If it is, that's almost treble the cost of a taxi! Good Lord! We are scheduled to sail mid May on the Caribbean Princess and are working out our budget for 2008 cruises. I do realise that if traffic is snarled downtown NY on the day of the cruise, the ship will wait if you are on one of the Princess buses, whilst if one is travelling privately the ship could sail without you. Still, 80 dollars that's absurd. Regards, James.

TheSkipper
Absurd it may be. But, that's what it is. When we sailed out of Brooklyn last October on the Crown Princess we grabbed a cab (actually a van) with two couples from Atlanta and shared the cost. BTW, Brooklyn port is not somewhere you want to wander around. Not the greatest area I've ever seen.
elfed
Thanks Skipper for your reply. Did you use a cab both to and from the Terminal and if so was it easy to hail a taxi from the Terminal? Regards, James
TheSkipper
Sorry to be so long getting back to you. On the way back we picked up a rental car and stayed over in New Jersey for three days visiting DW's family.
