zebra
OK... this had to follow on after my previous post. All you Caarnival cruisers have been so helpful so here's another question for you. Which CARNIVAL ship is your favorite and why?
rogue
I've only cruised Carnival twice, but I really liked the Carnival Legend. It has the best layout of any ship we've been on. It's very easy to get around her, and she never felt crowded despite her size. We had lots of fun on her, and, because of her, we would sail on Carnival again someday. zebra
Oh glad to hear that Howard... the Legend is one of the ships that we were interested in.
elfed
Yeah, Carnival is great cruise line. We love 'em. We've been on 5 of their ships and each one has it's own personality so to speak. Our best memories are of the Carnival Valor. It was her first season and the ship gleamed! Superb shows and great service. Next in line was the Carnival Legend-a different kind of ship altogether than Valor. This was closely followed by the Carnival Imagination-our only New Years cruise with Carnival The other ships we sailed on were the non smoking (at the time) Paradise and the Triumph which was our last cruise with them and unfortunately the most boring with service extremely mediocre. We are presently taking a break from Carnival which was a case of same old, same old as we had taken the 5 cruises in a row with them. We shall probably return when the new Carnival Dream is launched. I think this will sail in either 2009 or 2010. Regards, James
JohnG
Carnival Legend was our favorite so far. We are sailing on Valor in December, but I have already done one Conquest class ship, and I'd still say Legend. We had a stern balcony cabin. GottaCruz
Jackie, we loved the Triumph and the Destiny. We haven't sailed the larger or newer ones yet.
Dan
We've sailed Carnival twice. The Tropicale, which is no longer in the fleet and the Victory. So I guess that leaves the Victory as our favourite LOL. I'd rather try a Conquest-class or a Spirit-class if we go on Carnival again. It'll probably be the Victory again (or the Triumph) though, since we plan on taking the kids for their first cruise on one of the shorter east coast cruises out of New York, and those 2 ships seem to rotate the route year to year. popsec
We've only been on the Legend (3 times) and Fascination (3 times) so far but are booked on the Miracle for the next 3 cruises. Since the Miracle is a sister ship to the Legend I'm sure that will be great as well. While we loved the ship and crew on the Fascination, the very limited and expensive balcony cabins are a down side. The Legend has a great crew, is easy to navigate and has good food. hazelson
The Pride and the Spirit are just the right size - not at all confusing. The Glory and The Conquest were too big for me and very confusing to get around - if DH wasn't with me I would have starved to death trying to find the dining room LOL
