cambie
Hi, Has anyone taken the 14-day cruise on Diamond Princess from LA to Hawaii? We're going on Oct 4 and would liek some information on the following: 1) Were there enough activities during the day to keep you busy (especially during the at sea days)? 2) Was there a self-serve laundromatte service available? How much does it cost? 3) How were the shore excursions? Expensive, good value for money? 4) How's the food ? 5) How's the service? Thanks, Cambie
zebra
Hi Cambie, welcome to CruiseCrazies. I can try and help you. We have been on the Diamond Princess but on a 7 day to Alaska. We have also been on a 14 day cruise to Hawaii, but on a Celebrity ship, so I'll answer a couple of your questions. The food and service were superb!! Yes there are laundromats on all Princess ships - I can't remember the cost but it's the same as stateside laundromats, not much .... I just feed the quarters into the machines. We had plenty of activities on the sea days... I especially love the Trivia contests and Bingo - but there's computer classes, photography classes, pottery classes all kinds of pool games... numerous activities that's for sure. Sorry I can't help you with the excursions because we were on the Infinity for our Hawaiian cruise. Hope this helps.
