SCIROCCO
Miss C I carry my soap dispenser in my carry on for the bathroom Yep more electrical cords, more storage space, and Jackie Im like you I dont like the shower curtain sticking to my Big Butt either! But with this, the ships would have to be a lot longer and wider! Of course they have them already and still didnt adress all these things, Hey Jackie I think Bathtubs in all rooms would solve the Butt Sticking Curtains!LOL! Dan
At least those sticky shower curtains move when hit by my caboose LOL.
TheSkipper
The cabin I would design I would not be able to afford to book.
zebra
Skipper you're not kidding!! But I have noticed that Celebrity is addressing on of my pet peeves in the building of their new "Solstice". They're making the beds a little higher to enable the new style luggage to fit under them. Gregswife
I love to sit on the balcony when at sea and I have sometimes watched movies on my laptop while out there but my battery doesn't last that long, so I have to bring it in and charge it up. Of course, I use headphones, not only so as not to disturb the neighbors but also because I wouldn't be able to hear it over the sounds of the ocean if I didn't. mickey02454
The Shower Curtain, we always take about 8 wooden clothes pins with us and attach them to the bottom of the shower curtain. It stops blowing around and stays put. When the cruise is over we just toss them in the trash. It has worked for us!!
Longboysfan
I think a plug outlet next to the door - inside the room next to the balcony could be done. Outside - No. It would be a nightmare for the repair crews. I would like a full length mirror somewhere - for the ladies we travel with - where they are not blocked by the bed. I also thing that an additional pull out from underneatl to a lock out position for the desk you sit at could help a bit. The doors in the bath tub are a no go as to ship movement - they would have to be on the heavy side. At the bottom of the closet - the double one - a shelf you could store a large piece of luggage under. We normauul don't carry anything that reaches to the bottom of the closet anyway. As I use this - with a plastic bag for the used cruise clothes.
JoeyandDavid
I think for us...not so much as a redesigned stateroom but more of an upgrade in current furnishings... better quality bedding and linens and bathroom ammenities... more relaxing balcony lounges
Joanandjoe
Agreed. The fact that all outside rooms on HAL have bathtubs, while only suites have bathtubs on Celebrity, is a major reason why we prefer HAL to X. Larger rooms are also important. Most of all, we'd like better soundproofing, especially if someone can find a way to soundproof doors so the night owls don't keep the earlybirds awake at night, and the earlybirds don't wake up the night owls in the morning. Joan would like to have hair driers that actually dry hair. I'd like DVD players, with free access to DVDs in all rooms. I would not like a huge TV: it would dominate the room too much. Most of all, I'd like to have the noisiest parts of the ship, especially the show lounge, isolated from the staterooms, so you wouldn't have to be super cautious in choosing a cabin. On the question of soap dispensers instead of soap, we've never cruised on a line that has soap dispensers, either by the sink or in the shower or bathtub. I'd rather have larger bars of soap than have dispensers.
